The concept is much larger than any individual role and the promise of ‘Ghostbusters 3′ is that we get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood.”
That’s Dan Aykroyd, again telling everyone that “Ghostbusters 3” is going to start shooting, like, right away in a thinly-veiled attempt to get Bill Murray to finally agree to join the project. And all this dillydallying by Aykroyd just proves that Murray really IS bigger than “Ghostbusters.” Like, way bigger.

It’s also now absolutely possible that I will stab myself with a shrimp fork. Bill Murray was right to give this project the runaround. I hope he pulls in and out the movie for the next twenty years, until Reitman finally gives up. Who was asking for a third “Ghostbusters” anyway? I loved the first movie, and I probably liked the second one more than a lot of people did, but a third? Three decades too late? No. No, I’m sorry, but I can’t abide by that. They should just title the project “Dan Aykroyd Retirement Golf Villa Fund” and be done with it.
