“ That’s funny because that’s not what the song is talking about. It cracks me up. I’ve seen girls that look like me and been like, “Ohhhhh, I’m Baby’s got Back!” And I’m like, “No, no, no, no.” It wasn’t “Baby Got Back and Center, and Middle, and Front.” You know?”
That’s hip hop icon Sir Mix-a-Lot, reminiscing on the twentieth anniversary of “Baby Got Back”, his seminal paean to the ample female backside. And I wish Mix-a-Lot had clarified his intent before America’s obesity epidemic got out of hand. There’s Crisco on YOUR hands, good sir.

“ I don’t think Nate Dogg has ever had a hit on his own, but if you add “Featuring Nate Dogg” to a song the record just automatically goes platinum.”
That’s R. Nugent of Pleasantville, New York, who wrote into ESPN’s Bill Simmons nearly a decade ago to praise Nate Dogg, the hip hop and R&B star who passed away yesterday at the age of 41. And Nugent’s analysis of Nate Dogg still stands to this day. Born Nathaniel Hale, Nate Dogg was revered in the hip hop community for making any track he guest starred on better. He was also an original member of 213, which was where Warren G and Snoop Dogg (who can now be seen roasting billionaires on television) both got their start. He lent his vocals to tracks by Tupac, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Ludacris, and countless others, making him a veritable Zelig among the community. So pay your respects, unless you clearly lack proper regulating skills.
