Balloon Boy Family Wants Peace, Quiet, Chance To Die Chasing Storms. I think we all remember where we were back in October 2009 when that kid got trapped in that balloon, only he wasn’t actually inside, and we all felt hosed because we spent an hour staring at a mylar party balloon on CNN. It was a seminal moment in our lives, to be certain. Anyway, if you were wondering where the Balloon Boy is now (you weren’t), you’ll be happy to know the Heene family now lives in Florida, which of course is where they’ve always belonged. Father Richard Heene still insists he was made a victim from the whole episode, and that it was never a hoax. You’ll probably disagree when you watch the above video of him driving his boys as close as possible to a deadly mesocyclone. You can’t keep a Heene earthbound.
